GO.COURSES FAQs

Whether you’ve already booked your training course or are still shopping around, you’re bound to have a million questions about what to expect.

To help put your mind at ease, here are some answers to our most commonly asked questions. If you don’t find the answer you’re looking for, please do give us a shout. We’re here to help!

How long are the training courses?

The course length varies depending on which training course you’re due to attend. The course overview page will give you an idea of the course length. For 1 day courses, the day usually starts at 9.30am and ends around 5pm so you’ll have 6 hours of training with breaks included.

On the day of your training, your instructor will run-through the schedule so there are no surprises. You’ll usually have a short mid-morning and mid-afternoon break, and a full break for lunch.

What should I wear for the training course?

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Many people wear jeans, t-shirt and trainers in training courses, but if you feel more comfortable in smarter office wear, that’s absolutely fine too.

Are refreshments included?

Yes, every training course will include refreshments for all attendees.

It’s best to have breakfast before you start as this won’t be provided, but tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available, as well as light snacks.

If your course is a full day or multiple day course, lunch is also included usually. If you’re unsure if lunch will be provided on the training course you’re due to attend please feel free to drop us a message.

What if I have dietary needs, special requirements or mobility issues?

If you have any allergies or dietary needs just let us know as soon as possible after booking. We can always accommodate these needs and will work with the venue to provide suitable refreshments for you.

Similarly, if you have any mobility issues or any other special requirements please get in touch to make us aware of them. We’ll work with the venue to make sure you’re safe and comfortable during your training course.

Do I need to bring a laptop to my training course?

For the majority of courses, we provide all the equipment needed. However, if you’re attending a more advanced technical course (such as AWS training), you may need to bring your own laptop. iPads and tablets are usually not powerful enough for these courses, but do get in touch if you’d like to enquire about the equipment you could use.

Your confirmation and reminder emails will cover exactly what you’ll need to bring on the day, so keep an eye on this. You’re very welcome to contact us if you have any questions at all.

What ID do I need to bring with me on the training day?

You don’t need to bring any ID to your training course, as we’ll just need a note of your booking confirmation details.

How big are the class sizes?

On average our training courses have 8 attendees, although we do run some courses with larger numbers. It’s possible to have any number, including 1-1 training in-house, and regardless of size you’ll always get the same quality of training.

Will I get a certificate, and is there an exam?

Yes, all of our course attendees will receive a certificate of participation. Some courses will require an exam to prove your new skills, and these will also come with an official certificate as evidence of your new accreditation. The best way to check if you’ll be taking an exam is to check the course details page.

All of our scheduled training courses are fully authorised by vendors.

How can I pay? – Do you accept cheques?

We accept all major debit and credit cards, PayPal, or you can pay us using BACS or SWIFT. If these payment methods aren’t possible, we can accept a company cheque. You’ll need to give us a quick call to arrange this.

Your course fees will need be paid in advance, unless you’re an existing customer with an account. If you’re paying by cheque, this needs to be at least 5 working days before your training course date to give it chance to clear in time.

What if I need to cancel or can’t make it?

It’s important to get in touch as soon as possible if you need to make a change to your training.

Take a look at our refund policy for details of cancellations, transfers and refunds. Feel free to drop us a message too!

I’m not based in the UK – can I still learn with GO.COURSES?

Absolutely – we’ve had many people travel to the UK to attend our courses. We have training courses in cities all over the country, and they’re always easy to find with convenient transport links. If you’d like any help and advice with travel, please drop us a message and we’d love to help you.

You’re also very welcome to join us virtually on a “Learn Live Online” course. These interactive courses are delivered by our expert instructors live, so it’s important to note that all our virtual courses are taught in English, to GMT / GMT + 1.

Do you provide in-house training – could you come to my offices?

Absolutely – at Go.Courses we’re all about making it easy, so we also provide bespoke in-house training. We can join you anywhere in the UK, and we also train extensively in Europe – sometimes even further afield.
